1. Eat for pleasure and good health, not for weight loss.

2. Start the day with oats and you won’t be hungry for hours

3. Eat more fish,chicken,vegetables and salads, and less red meat,pork,pasta, pastry and potatoes.

4. Use a plastic squeezy bottle for olive oil and sauces- it helps you use less.

5. Use yogurt instead of cream.

6. Snack on fruit and nuts instead of chocolate and crips

7. Steam instead of grill,grill instead of roast, roast instead of fry, shallow-fry instead of deep fry.

8. Eat carbs like pasta and potatoes for lunch instead of in the evening.

9. Drink better,drink less, and drink only with the evening meal.

10. If you really want something, enjoy it without guilt, then lighten up the next day.

If you’re looking for workout programme that builds strength,cardiovascular capacity and balance,climb on a trampoline.Jumping up and and down,or rebounding as it’s also called,works all the muscle groups simultaneously and burns calories at the same time.To build confidence, rebound for five minutes initially,and increase the time as your fitness improves.As you start to feel more comfortable doing i, try jogging in place for more vigorous work out.

You can also try a few variations to spice things up:use hand weights and lift your arms up and down, or kick your legs to the front,back and sides. You should always ensure that you wear athletic shoes and supportive clothing while on the trampoline.Happy rebounding !

Pucker up with sour candy and you risk ruining your smile,says a new Minnesota Dental Association report on tooth enamel erosion. Threats like Sour Skittles, Super Lemon, and some flavoured Altoids are high in acids that strip away teeth’s protective surface.Dentist Robert J. Marolt offers this advice:

* Rinse right away.

Swishing water in your mouth after a candy help wash away the acid

* Wait a half hour to brush.

The acid of a sour candy softens the fragile surface of the teeth. Brushing immediately after eating one could cause damage.

* Skip fruit flavours.

Lemon,grape and cherry destroy more enamel than do mint and cinnamon,which are lower in acid.

* Switch to sugar-free gum.

It can satisfy your oral urge while stimulating saliva flow,which protects enamel.

Quick Facts :

Root beer was found to be the least acidic of all soft drinks,with a pH 4.038.Pepsi and Coke are about pH 2.325.(A pH below 7 can corrode tooth enamel). Livescience.com
