An eight-year-old's gift to the Tooth Fairy

Image via Wikipedia

My husband and I told our children they had to save some of their spending money as a good habit. That evening,I heard groans coming from my seven-year-old daughter’s rom.

Opening the door,I spotted my eight-year-old son pulling on a string attached to one of Jasmine’s teeth-the one that had been slightly loose for over a week but wasn’t quite ready to come out.

I asked what they were doing.”Jason is helping me pull my tooth,”Jasmine said,”and we are going to share the money the Tooth Fairy brings me.”

Understanding Your Doctor

Generic regular strength enteric coated 325mg ...

Instead of assuming your doctor is giving you the brush off,try reading between the lines

1. He says: “Take two aspirin and call me in the morning.”

You hear:”You’re wasting my time with trivia.”

What’s behind it? Doctors see illness at its earliest stages when a firm diagnosis is not always possible.

Aspirin is unlikely to cause harm and will ease minor symptoms until the problem is more obvious.

2. He says:”This won’t hurt a bit.”

You hear:”This is going to hurt like hell.”

What’s behind it? Doctor are aware of patient’s fears and their reputation depends as much on their reputation depends as much on their ability to soothe as to diagnose.Muscles tensed in expectation of pain resist probing fingers and needles, causing pain and discomfort anyway.

3. He says:”It’s a virus.”

You hear,”I’ve no idea what’s wrong with you.”

What’s behind it? Viruses pack out waiting rooms can cause a wide variety of symptoms. As the vast majority are harmless and self-imitating,saying this is a way of buying time.Either the problem will solve itself,or evolve into something recognizable.

4. He says:” I’m sending you to specialist.”

You hear.”I’ve had enough of you.”

What’s behind it? Doctors know a bit about everything.Specialist, on the other hand know everything about a bit.Combine these two types of expertise  and you have a safe, efficient system.Sometimes, the need for a specialist opinion is obvious, or your doctor may be worried about missing a serious cause of a symptom such as tiredness.

5. He says:” Is there anything else ?”

You hear:”Is that all you’ve come about?”

What’s behind it?  A good technique for finding out what the patient really came about. This often applies to men,who are notorious for spending 90% of the time discussing cold, only to admit to impotence just as they’re leaving.

'Cavendish' bananas in a grocery storeImage via Wikipedia

I love to eat bananas, since they are cheap and good for your digestion. BUt by reading all this fact I never look Banana as the same way again.

Bananas. Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and
glucose combined with fiber, a banana gives an instant, sustained and
substantial boost of energy.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy
for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number
one fruit with the world’s leading athletes.

But energy isn’t the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It
can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and
conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people
suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana.
This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein
that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve
your mood and generally make you feel happier. More »

Save Cost Using Medical Claim..!

A couple went to a sex therapists office at ABC Hospital. The doctor asked, ‘What can I do for you?’  The man said, ‘Will you watch us having sex, for your expert analysis?’  The doctor looked puzzled, but agreed. When the couple finished, the doctor said, ‘There’s nothing wrong with the way you have intercourse’ and charged them RM60.00. This happened several weeks in a row.

The couple would make an appointment, have intercourse with no problems, pay the doctor and then leave. Finally the doctor asked, ‘Just exactly what are you trying to find out?’  The man said, ‘We’re not trying to find out anything. She’s married and we can’t go to her house - I’m married and we can’t go to my house.

Shangri-la Putrajaya charges RM250.00, Mandarin Oriental charges RM280.00, Le Meridian charges M230.00. We do it here for RM60.00 and I get that back from ‘Medical Claim’…….!

And here, in order to give those who are not familiar with, the process of digestion, a clear idea of that important operation, and the effect produced when alcohol is taken with food, we quote from the lecture of an English physician, Dr. Henry Monroe, on “The Physiological Action of Alcohol.” He says:

“Every kind of substance employed by man as food consists of sugar, starch, oil and glutinous matters, mingled together in various proportions; these are designed for the support of the animal frame. The glutinous principles of food  fibrine, albumen  and  casein  are employed to build up the structure; while the  oil, starch  and  sugar  are chiefly used to generate heat in the body. More »

Health and Medical Careers If you think about it, health and medical careers are very similar as they both want the same thing that is to care for the welfare of the patient. To give some idea, here are a few possible careers that you may get into. sb10068571b-001

1. Brushing and flossing your teeth isn’t enough to keep them clean. This is why people are told to visit the dentist once a year or every six months. Dentistry is usually completed after 8 years of education. It takes just as long as a medical doctor and analysts believe this demand will grow as the large number of are expected to retire soon. The job of the dentist is to diagnose, prevent and treat problems in the teeth and also the mouth tissue. They may perform x-rays, put in protective plastic sealants, extract or repair fractured teeth. If patients need to straighten their teeth, then they have to visit an orthodontist. Dentists use a variety of equipment to get the job done. These include mouth mirrors, probes, forceps, brushes, scalpels, drills and x-ray machines. To protect themselves and their patients, they must always sterilize their equipment; wear masks, gloves that must be disposed afterwards and protective glasses. More »

An overweight lady came for an appointment at my clinic. She was one of my colleagues’s patients so I was curious as to why she was suddenly coming to see me.

“I had to,”she moaned.”The other doctor put me on the scales and told me I was a beast,”

Appalled,I confronted my colleague about the matter. His account of their conversation was rather less dramatic.

“I said she was obese.”

Fyber Sense Pill Vanish Bad Body Odor

July 18th, 2008 No Comments   Posted in Health, funny video

A pill to make you want to get hot and sweaty

a3m2x1

You may soon be able to throw away your deodorants and expensive perfume bottles. A team of Brazilian researchers has come up with a pill that replaces unpleasant body odor with a much more appealing aroma.

The scientists from the Federal University of Ceara got the idea from certain foods, such as garlic, asparagus and curry which “perfumes” the skin, urine and sweat with their distinctive signatures.

The team recently released the Fyber Sense pill that, once swallowed, releases through sweat a lavender-like scent obtained from the Corianddrum sativum (better known as cilantro or coriander)

But there’s still a few years of research and development to be done before other heath authorities approve Fyber Sense for sale worldwide.
